Every interaction is backed by a real-world action, a drink redeemed at a venue. On top of that, Circles turn communities into active social networks, and brands can participate by sending real products into these networks, creating measurable, real-world engagement instead of impressions.
Dion is available everywhere, but users can redeem items in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, London, and Dubai, with more major cities launching soon. Each city is activated through curated venues, local communities, and Circles.
Circles are private, curated communities on Dion. They can be friend groups, social clubs, professional networks, creators, or brand-led communities. Circles bring existing communities into Dion and turn them into real-world interaction layers.
Choose a venue, select a drink, pick a person or someone within a Circle, and send. The recipient receives a notification and redeems the drink at the venue using their Dion card, a virtual card in Apple Wallet. Brands can also fund drinks that are sent within Circles or to targeted audiences.
You can send a drink from anywhere. The recipient redeems it when they go to the venue. This removes the need for physical presence and allows connections, and brand interactions, to happen asynchronously.
The recipient is notified and can accept the drink. Once they do, a chat opens between the two of you. They can then visit the venue and redeem the drink using their Dion card via Apple Pay.
Yes. You can send a drink via a link. When they claim it, they join Dion. Every drink becomes both a social action and a growth mechanism for the network.
Anything from a morning coffee or matcha to an evening cocktail and premium drinks. Brands can also feature specific products within the platform, allowing users to discover and experience them in real-world settings.
Dion is invite-only. We review every application individually to build a community of interesting, like-minded people. Having a referral from an existing member improves your chances.
Apply through the app or sign up through a referral link from an existing member. Referrals receive priority review. Make sure your profile is complete - clear photos, real occupation, and a linked Instagram or LinkedIn help the most.
Membership subscription. Once your application is accepted, you can choose a membership plan from the options shown in the app, each with its own price and duration. Memberships are bought through Apple and charged to your Apple ID account, under Apple's terms. Your membership renews automatically at the end of each period, at the then-current price, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your Apple ID subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you'll keep access until then.
Drinks and other in-app purchases. Drinks you send through Dion, and any other in-app purchases, are separate from your membership fee. You can pay for them with Apple Pay or a debit or credit card. Before you confirm any purchase, you'll see the full price, including any service fee and applicable taxes. Payments are subject to the terms of your payment provider.
Redeeming drinks. A drink can be redeemed at any time while it's valid, as shown in the app. After that, it expires and can no longer be redeemed.
Price changes. We may change membership fees, drink prices, service fees, or other charges, and may introduce new membership tiers at any time. If your membership price changes, we'll tell you before it takes effect, and the new price will apply from your next renewal. If you don't want to continue at the new price, you can cancel before the renewal date.
Payment processing. Third-party providers handle payments. Dion doesn't access or store your full payment details.
Refunds. All purchases are final and non-refundable, apart from the cancellation rights below.
Membership. Memberships are bought through Apple, so refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies, not by Dion. If you live in the EU, EEA or UK, you're entitled to a full refund within 14 days of your membership starting. If you live in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island or Wisconsin, you can cancel for a full refund before midnight of the third business day after you subscribe. In both cases, request it through Apple.
Drinks. Drinks and other in-app purchases are final and non-refundable. If a drink you send isn't unlocked, its value comes back to your Dion Wallet as Drink Credits, so you can send it again. Drink Credits can't be paid back to your card. You won't receive money or other compensation for unused drinks or credits when your membership ends or your account is closed.
Spend $50 or more on drinks sent to new connections in a month, and your full membership fee for that month comes back to your Dion Wallet as credits instantly. This applies to both Dion and Dion+ memberships. Credits can be used to send drinks on Dion.
Your membership stays active until the end of your current billing period. After that, if you'd like to come back, you'll need to reapply. Our team will review your profile before you can subscribe again.
If we end your membership for a reason that isn't your fault, we'll credit you for the unused part of your current billing period, or help you request a refund from Apple.
Review times vary as we onboard new members deliberately to maintain community quality. You'll be notified by email and in-app as soon as a decision is made.
Absolutely, if Dion operates in your destination city, you can send and redeem drinks there too. It's a great way to connect with locals or set up plans before you arrive.
You pay for the drink when you send it. The recipient redeems it at the venue at no cost to them, they just tap their Dion card. It's seamless for both sides.

If the recipient doesn't unlock the drink, its value comes back to your Dion Wallet as Drink Credits, so you can send it again.
Standard members pay a service fee of 5% on each drink sent. It's shown at checkout before you confirm. Dion+ members pay no service fees. Tips are already included in the drink price.

Dion credits, including Drink Credits, membership credit back and referral credits, can only be used within Dion. They have no cash value and can't be transferred or withdrawn. Credits expire 12 months after they're added to your Wallet, and you can see each credit's expiry date there.
Every member is verified during the application process. Venues are carefully curated, and all chats are monitored for compliance with our community guidelines. You can block or report anyone directly from chat.
Yes, Dion uses bank-grade encryption for all transactions and never stores full payment details on our servers. Your profile is only visible to other approved members.
Only approved Dion members can see your profile. You can also control your visibility through privacy settings in the app, including making your profile visible only to your existing connections.
